Every year Bristol’s creative industry teams up to make something very special indeed.
It’s called Electric December, and it consists of 24 lovely digital treats for you to consume. Way better than any advent calendar, I’m already impressed by day one, two and three.
Day one brings something very special to Bristol. By using Google Maps and SMS gateways (or some such), they (as in Beef) have made a map of Bristol which is measuring how happy we all are this festive season, or the Bristol Chirstmas Spirit Level. Actually brilliant.
Day two is a great trumps game about Bristol. Fun and educational!
Day three (tomorrow, so don’t skip ahead!) is a very funny animation from Bristol’s pride, Aardman (the makers of Wallace and Gromit). It actually made me laugh, which sort of invalidates my Chirstmad Spirit Level entry.
