iMac ordered

Huzzah! (I never say this in reality)

My new iMac 17″ has been ordered with AppleCare for only £856.05, with student discounts, telephone discounts, buy-it-all-now discounts and VAT. That’s £45 less that an iMac on it’s own!

Now I feel I have to channel the excitement which will be hitting me soon with almighty power into work. If I don’t, it might very well cripple me.

Huzzah! We randomly cry that out at school events–at least a small, antisocial group of us.

This I find hard to picture :D

Well, I guess you proved that acting quickly while still checking things out works. ‘Course you had twisted your own rubber arm on this one.:)

Good luck with your new iBaby. I’ma about to buy the 20″ iMac, and I’d like to use the students discount.
Too bad I suspended my career as a student this year… could you tell me if they were very picky when asking for proof that you’re a student?

Fintan 12th November 2005

No no, not at all actually!

They just asked for my colledge name, and that was it! Very surprising they didn’t even want clearer proof, actually.

He said they just go by email address to make sure you don’t do it repeatedly for your own profit or something.

Wow. So I guess I’ll just try to sell myself as a student.

BTW, don’t you hate the fact that Apple treats Europeans as cash-cows?

There’s a HUGE price difference for europeans customers: the same imac costs 350 euros more….

Yeah, they do tend to do that. Apple prices in the UK used to be extortionate, but I think they’re trying to appeal to a wider audience now.
