In an earlier post I mentioned how I was going to use this new Mac as an incentive to learn how to draw, digitally.
Well, here for you all to tear apart, is my very first Mac Illustrator design.
Off to a good start, I think.
Illustrating coming along nicely
Playing with shapes is a good way to start.
You an understanding of colour anyway. I don’t see any purple text on a black background. Blogging and seeing bad “blogs” has paid off.
I like the precision of illustration versus painting. I just wish I had a Wacom tablet when I learned Freehand. You may have to ask Father Christmas for one.
lol Well it’s early day’s yet! Tablets are a tad on the pricey side
I like the colors you chose for it and the organic shapes. You can get tablets fairly cheap. Wacom’s Graphire starts at like $100 here in the US. Not sure about in the UK. You could always check eBay though…prices seem to be a little lower there.
